The NHS advice to patients with FEVER OR NEW CONTINUOUS COUGH is that they should NOT present to primary care but use online 111 advice and call 111 only if they cannot cope with their symptoms at home, they are getting worse or their symptoms are not improving after 7 days: 111 will then arrange appropriate care.
FURTHER INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE BY CONTACTING THE NHS 111 NUMBER OR AT WWW.NHS.UK
If you need a repeat prescription please call our dedicated prescription line on 02894 413926 which is open 24 hrs a day. PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO INCREASED PRESSURES THAT THE PHARMACIES ARE FACING REPEAT, NON URGENT SCRIPTS WILL BE READY FOR COLLECTION AFTER 48-72 WORKING HOURS.

The Doctors have discussed this and decided that this is not necessary or appropriate. GP Letters WILL NOT be provided. However, if applications are rejected, a GP letter of support will be considered where appropriate.
